Important Notice
WhatsApp connection uses WhatsApp Web technology. For account security, please ensure your WhatsApp account has two-step verification enabled, and avoid using your main business account for testing.
Step-by-Step Guide
Get WhatsApp Pairing Code
In Admin Panel, select the Agent you want to connect, click "Pair WhatsApp". The system will generate a QR Code and pairing code.
💡 Tip: QR Code is valid for 2 minutes. Have your phone ready before generating.
Open WhatsApp on Your Phone
Open WhatsApp on your phone, go to "Settings" → "Linked Devices" → "Link a Device".
💡 Tip: iPhone: Settings → Linked Devices. Android: ⋮ → Linked Devices.
Scan the QR Code
Click "Link a Device" and use your camera to scan the QR Code displayed on Admin Panel.
💡 Tip: If scanning fails, you can choose "Link with pairing code" and enter manually.
Confirm Pairing
Your phone will show a pairing confirmation screen. Check the device name and click "Link".
💡 Tip: Device name will show as "OpenClaw Gateway" or similar.
Approve in Admin Panel
Return to Admin Panel and click "Approve Pairing". The system will show successful pairing.
Start Chatting
Pairing successful! The AI agent will appear in your WhatsApp contacts. You can start chatting!
💡 Tip: Before first chat, try sending "Hello" or "Hi" to start the conversation.
Common Issues
QR Code scan failed?
Try using "Link with pairing code" instead. The code is displayed below the QR code.
Connection drops frequently?
Ensure your phone has stable internet connection. WhatsApp Web requires your phone to stay connected.
